CoWin at the meeting of the SPD Council faction Gelsenkirchen

“#NetworkedTownGE”

Gelsenkirchen is a digital model municipality of the state of NRW and a Fellow City of the Digital Cities Challenge of the European Commission. The SPD Council Group of the City of Gelsenkirchen sees this as an expression of many years of intensive work and a successful digitisation strategy.

Rüdiger Klatt presented the model project CoWin for discussion at the event: “VernetzteStadtGE” under the title: “Zukunft der Arbeit”.

From the point of view of the model project, CoWorking spaces do not only belong in the hip metropolises of Berlin and Hamburg. In the NewWorkLab of the Science Park Gelsenkirchen and in the Designhaus Marl, commuters and start-ups can therefore ‘cowork’ since the end of 2018 and try out different digital forms of work.

Within the framework of the model project, commuting employees have the opportunity to try out the modern workplaces in the coworking spaces free of charge over a longer period of time.
