Brussels May 2020
Together with the Secretariat for Futures Studies in Berlin, the World Future Council, the University of Cadiz and Wind of Renewal in Athens, the FIAP has developed a proposal to link the European Green Deal and the European Youth Guarantee and submitted it to the European Commission for consultation. Especially the experiences from GRÆDUCATION and YesClima have been inspiring. The cooperation of the projects has resulted in a working group that wants to initiate transformations on a political level and implement them in concrete measures. The aim is to develop and use measures that create new employment opportunities in the green sector in European countries where youth unemployment is very high and where the current situation is feared to lead to even worse economic developments. In Greece and Spain there is a great deal of potential here, but there is also a need for innovation in the labour market. Within the framework of the working group, students from Greece and Spain have developed a project for which funding is now being sought.
