As part of the research project “Coworking.NRW”, the research institute FIAP could conduct a status quo analysis of coworking offices in NRW, their working conditions and relevant target groups and demands. It gathered the data by doing research on this region’s status quo with regards to coworking, an analysis of needs and an identification of potential future target-groups. Results of this study highlight that an expanded network of coworking offices in NRW could help to reduce the flows of commuters, disburden families and offer opportunities to discover ways to connect via new technologies. Based on these findings, a new, modeling project had been launched: CoWin.
