The commitment of the teachers was overwhelming. A large number of them would like to use the ideas developed together and also the presented instruments, which allow students to experiment with “green” technologies, in the classroom. Together with the partner Wind of Renewal, who contributes its expertise from various projects of the European Climate Initiative(EUKI), a solution approach was developed which is now being pursued further in the project. In particular, the project reflected on how teachers can contribute to making vocational training more attractive. Constructive, common ideas were developed, which are now structured by the project team and made available to the teachers.
On February 8th and 9th, the GRÆDUCATION team together with the Athens project partner Wind of Renewal organized innovation workshops with over 50 Greek primary and over 30 secondary school teachers to define a common approach to the issues of career guidance and the promotion of “green skills” in Greek schools. On both days, Science Park Gelsenkirchen initiated lively discussions with and among teachers using the instruments and learning stations of the “EnergyLabs”, which could be tried out by teachers in workshops.
