The GRÆDUCATION joint project has invited representatives of the O.A.E.D., the Greek Employment Agency, to a study visit to present the promotion of MINT education and “green” vocational orientation and to provide insights into concrete work. The visit is scheduled to take place on 25th and 26th March 2020. Among other things, a visit to the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia is also on the agenda to present the holistic approach in the North Rhine-Westphalian zdi (Future through Innovation) networks.

Transnational study visits are a successful way of exchanging views within the European Union and getting to know best practice examples.

Like Germany and many other countries in the European Union, Greece suffers from a considerable shortage of skilled workers. Not only in the engineering professions there is a shortage, but also a lack of well-trained craftsmen and -women. In NRW, the vocational orientation programme is a tried and tested way of giving pupils an insight into different professions and arousing curiosity and interest in training. Career orientation takes place in cooperation with numerous partners, including companies. The zdi-NRW programme is particularly innovative and successful – it is not for nothing that zdi stands for future through innovation.

FIAP e.V. and the Graeducation project are pleased to invite you to a study visit to develop an approach for Greece together with our Greek colleagues. WiPa Gelsenkirchen is also integrated into the zdi network with the Energy Lab. Graeducation will report about the visit from Greece here.
