How can I learn about my strengths and highlight them? How can I found a socially-oriented business-model? How does the market for sustainable innovations look like in Greece and in Spain? These are the questions four young engineers from Spain and four from Greece asked themselves during a three-days-long workshop. The FIAP could join the joint project of the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (University of Applied Science), the Universidad de Cádiz, Wind of Renewal und the „Sekretariat für Zukunftsforschung“ (Secreteriat for research on future innovation“), supported and funded by the „European Climate Initiative“ (EUKI) and the Federal German Ministry for the Environment.
The first part of the seminar focused on the topics of “employability” and challenges modern labor markets pose. Only after this introductory part the discussion became more concrete: After a theoretical discussion on (social) entrepreneurship and the business model Canvas, participants had to develop their own business model with a focus on “Green Economy” in their regions of origin in Spain and Greece as well as transnational solutions.
The three-days seminar with the FIAP formed the end of the young engineers’ two-weeks stay in Germany and came to an end with a dinner of YESclima’s participants and coordinators at Berlin’s newspaper TAZ.
